After the success of Super Intelligent Common Sense I was playing a lot of shows and I was also partying like I was living off making money through music for the first time (It was great and I was young) I started working on the follow up album in Edinburgh six months before moving to Glasgow where I would continue to work on it for.. Well.. way to long.

Eventually after remixing the whole thing several times my daughter was born and music became not so important to me. When I eventually got back around to this album it had been so long and I had tinkered with it so much I had no idea what was going on.

I asked my good friend and future collaborator Ben Robb who is also an excellent Audio Engineer to take it off my hands and mix the project for me so I could finally get it out. He did so and did an excellent job of it also adding his own sonic traits which only improved the compositions.

So it was finally finished many years later and I decided to get it out only the label that wanted to release it had waited so long they no longer wanted it. Oh dear.. OK I will try some other labels I tried a bunch like a whole bunch and they almost all said the same thing to me. Some nice words about the music being very good but they just did not know who would buy it?

So I shelved it I went straight into another album ''This IS Not Pop'' I finished it in 6 months and got it out straight away independently I felt it was what I had to do at the time.

And so here we are it's 2020 already and this album ''Washed Away'' was finished about 8 years ago and that just seems crazy to me I sat on it and it got forgotten. But now I think it's time to get it out along with all my other sat on releases here on my main archive.
